Shooting Victim Directed Baltimore Officers To Gunman Trying To Kill Him: Police

A 19-year-old male has been arrested on accusations he tried to kill a 20-year-old male, Baltimore Police said.

DeShun Smith was charged in connection with a shooting that happened at the 1300 block of West Cross Street on Monday, March 7, authorities said.

The victim was said to have alerted police after he fled to the 1100 block of Sargeant Street after being shot by Smith, police said. 

Smith was taken to Central Booking Intake Facility and has been charged with attempted first degree murder.
